Magic Johnson cryptically tweets 'the truth will always come to light'
Magic Johnson cited a desire to tweet more as one of the reasons he decided to resign as the President of Basketball Operations for the Los Angeles Lakers. Just a few weeks after that proclamation, Johnson has definitely lived up to that promise.
Like an NFL wide receiver in the offseason, Johnson has already become a master of the cryptic tweet.
The truth will always come to light 😊

That could refer to a number of things. Given that Johnson ended his tweet with a smiley face emoji, we’re going to guess he wasn’t talking about a serious issue.
It’s also clear Johnson doesn’t expect a bombshell of an announcement to happen anytime soon. Johnson quickly pivoted to giving some NBA playoffs “analysis” minutes after firing off his cryptic tweet.
The eastern conference second round matchups, Raptors vs. Sixers and Celtics vs. Bucks, will be some of the best in history. You can’t pick a favorite because the teams are so evenly matched.

You have everything that you want in the eastern conference playoffs; great coaching, great scorers, great offense, great defense, and star power.

He also gave everyone his exciting plans for the night.
I’ll be tuned in at 5 pm PST to watch the 2019 NFL draft.

Many were shocked by Johnson’s surprising resignation, especially considering he held such an important role with the organization. Aside from the occasional cryptic message, Johnson’s Twitter page seems to indicate he’s got no regrets about that decision.
