Matt Gothard & Jared Quay give their best bets for Week 13 of the NFL season.

Video Transcript

MATT GOTHARD: Welcome back to "Mad Bets", everybody. Week 13 is here. And so is our best bet segment, joined as always by my best friend and degenerate gambler, Jared Quay. Jared, who is the winner this week?

JARED QUAY: Man, this is-- it's going to be a tough week. I feel like we don't know what's going on with COVID. So, it's really hard to pick this early, but if you had to give me a game, I'm picking the Bears at minus 3 to beat the Lions. One team just fired the coach. The other team coach called out all his players. Usually seems like a game you wouldn't touch until you realize it's played in the Bears stadium, which is an outdoor, freezing, cold windy place.

Something where the Lions aren't used to it. I don't think they do very good here. I think the Bears have the better defense of the two because the Lions pass defense has been nonexistent. I mean, even Mitchell Trubinsky could be throwing two, three touchdowns against them. So just give me the Bears minus 3 in the divisional game, I think. The Bears finally step their foot back into the winning column, and they win this one pretty good.

MATT GOTHARD: Man, I hope you win. And I think you probably do win, but me and the Bears are done. Over. [? Finitae. ?] I cannot put any more money on that Chicago--

JARED QUAY: Not even a marriage counselor? What about a marriage counselor?

MATT GOTHARD: No, it didn't work. The counseling didn't work. We're already-- we're in talks about just splitting up forever. So, I won't be joining you on that. I hope they win. I'm sure they win now that we're not together anymore. But I'm going to be taking, kind of an ugly pick as well. I like the Cleveland Browns catching 5 and 1/2 against Tennessee Titans. Right now the Titans are the hot team. They've won for the last three weeks as an underdog straight up. They beat the Ravens pretty badly.

Last week, they looked great against the Colts. They beat the Colts three weeks ago. And if you look at the Titans though, are they really a touchdown better than the Browns? The Browns actually have the best rushing offense in the league, even though the Titans have Derrick Henry. But the Titans really struggle against the pass on defense. So I think the Browns are going to be able to move this ball quite a bit. I don't think it's going to be that high scoring. I like the Browns to keep it close. I think they could win straight up, but I'm definitely going to take the 5 and 1/2 in this one.

JARED QUAY: Man, the Browns last week made Mike Glennon look like Peyton Manning though. That's the only thing that scares me.

MATT GOTHARD: Buy low, sell high, Jared.
