Mackenzie Dern meets Angela Hill at UFC Fight Night on May 13
A strawweight showdown between Mackenzie Dern and Angela Hill is the latest addition to a UFC Fight Night event in May.
Dern (12-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) and Hill (15-12 MMA, 10-12 UFC) have agreed to an 115-pound clash at UFC Fight Night on May 13, multiple people with knowledge of the situation confirmed to MMA Junkie. The people requested anonymity because the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
The event does not currently have an announced location or venue. Broadcast plans are also still unknown.
Dern, No. 7 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie strawweight rankings, will attempt to rebound from a main event loss to Yan Xiaonan at UFC Fight Night 211 in October. The 29-year-old has won five of her past seven fights overall.
Hill will attempt to break into the rankings on the heels of back-to-back wins over Loopy Godinez and Emily Ducote. The 38-year-old will make her 23rd octagon appearance with the bout, which will tie her with Jessica Andrade for most fights by any female in UFC history.
