With Trevor Siemian out of the picture, Kyle Sloter insists he is ready to take over as the Vikings' backup quarterback. The salary-cap-challenged Vikings tried to bring Siemian back, but they were outbid Wednesday by the New York Jets, who signed him to a one-year, $2 million contract that could be worth as much as $3 million with incentives.
