MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Spencer Mraz -- who lettered three times in baseball, two times in football and one time in basketball during his years at Berea-Midpark High School -- is now officially a Texas Ranger. Drafted by the Rangers organization in the 33rd round on June 5, Mraz went to the Rangers' spring training facility in Surprise, Ariz., where the 21-year-old, 2016 Berea-Midpark graduate signed his contract to become a professional baseball player. Mraz, a star pitcher with the Miami University Redhawks when he was drafted, was that team's regular Saturday starter in 2019, with 15 appearances (13 starts).
