Justin Verlander is a Cy Young Award finalist for the sixth time in his career. Verlander has won just once -- with the Tigers in 2011 -- but he has had plenty of close calls. This year could be another tight race. The two other finalists for the American League honor are Gerrit Cole, Verlander's teammate with the Houston Astros, and Charlie Morton of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Baseball Writers Association of America released the finalists for each of its major awards on Monday night.
