Saginaw Spirit standout Blade Jenkins was ranked as the No. 26 North American skater in the draft, but had to wait until the fifth round of Saturday's NHL draft to find a home. The New York Islanders, who picked Saginaw Spirit draft pick Bode Wilde in the second round, added Jenkins with the 10th pick in the fifth round of the draft, 134th overall. The 6-foot-2, 194-pound forward from Jackson, Michigan scored 20 goals with 24 assists in his first season in the Ontario Hockey League. The 17-year-old standout added three assists in four playoff games.
