Jack Hughes is projected to go No. 1 overall in the 2019 NHL draft. The Detroit Red Wings would like the rights to select him. All 31 NHL teams will get a chance to restock their prospect pools or try and choose their next star when the NHL Entry Draft comes to Rogers Arena in Vancouver this week. The New Jersey Devils have the first overall pick, and seem nearly a lock to take American Jack Hughes. Their rival, the New York Rangers, hold the second pick and will likely opt for Kaapo Kakko if Hughes isn't available. Here's how the NHL Draft order shakes out: Round 1 1. New Jersey Devils 2. New York Rangers 3. Chicago Blackhawks 4. Colorado Avalanche (from Ottawa Senators) 5. Los Angeles Kings
