The Calgary Roughnecks did what they needed to do. Saturday night, the Riggers had the chance to take out their rival, the Saskatchewan Rush, to do their part getting closer to securing a home playoff spot. And they did exactly that in their National Lacrosse League regular-season finale. Instead of making it a close, nerve-wracking affair, the Roughnecks (10-8) dominated the Rush (10-7) 18-8 in front of a sold-out crowd of 19,289 at the Saddledome.
