Jordan Reed injury update: Redskins tight end being evaluated for concussion

Washington's Jordan Reed took a big hit Thursday in the second quarter of the Redskins' 19-7 preseason win over the Falcons. The tight end was drilled in the head by an opposing player's helmet after making his lone catch of the day for 10 yards. Washington announced he will be evaluated for a concussion after he exited the game. He did not return to the contest. Reed, 29, has struggled with a bevy of injuries throughout his NFL career, but has been successful when he does take the field. He's notched 329 career receptions for 3,371 yards and 24 touchdowns in six seasons with the Redskins but has only appeared in 65 games during that stretch. He made one Pro Bowl appearance in 2016.
