A polar bear cub born at a Berlin zoo last month has died after just 26 days, officials said Tuesday Its birth made headlines around the world when its first moments were captured on a 'cub cam' CCTV set up in its mother Tonya's enclosure. The cub, which had not yet been given a name, appeared healthy on Monday but keepers found it dead when they checked a surveillance camera the following day. 'We know that mortality among cubs is very high in the first weeks, but we are still depressed and it's making us sad,' said Florian Sicks, polar bear keeper at the Tierpark in the east of the city.
