The Detroit Tigers will have to play out the rest of the season without Miguel Cabrera after the slugger ruptured his left biceps tendon Tuesday night. Cabrera left the third inning of a 6-4 home loss to the Minnesota Twins. He will have season-ending surgery later this week, manager Ron Gardenhire announced after the game. Cabrera immediately dropped his bat and grabbed his upper left arm after swinging at a 1-1 pitch from Twins starter Jake Odorizzi. He then walked to the dugout with his arm limply by his side. Earlier this season he missed three games with spasms in the same biceps tendon. He also missed 26 games with a hamstring strain and back tightness. Cabrera still has $154 million left
