Portland Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts said Tuesday that NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has done a good job of walking a “tightrope” as the league has dealt with backlash stemming from a tweet from a Houston Rockets executive that expressed support for pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong. “I do think that Adam Silver had a tightrope to walk and I thought he did an excellent job in managing the situation,” Stotts said. “Other than that, as an American, I believe in free speech and democracy.
