Cal Quantrill turned in a solid start yet again - 6 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 9 K, 0 BB - but only received two runs of support and was tagged with the tough-luck loss. For Cincinnati, starter Sonny Gray out-dueled Quantrill to the tune of six innings of one-run ball. The long run charged to Gray was courtesy of a 424-foot moonshot off the bat of Josh Naylor. The homer was Naylor's fourth since August 4.
