Today we wrap up our series on the game's best pitches with a look at the slider. You can review the entire series by visiting the links included both here and here. To keep our analysis focused, we're limiting this analysis to ERA-qualifying starting pitchers only - all 57 of them. Each pitch that induced at least 50 batted balls received a letter grade. A couple of pitches with slightly fewer batted balls allowed were excepted from that requirement as a nod to a significantly high whiff rate on that pitch.
