The Pitt basketball team had taken on mantra recently of being a scrappy team that plays games until the end, whether they are outmatched or not. In Pitt’s first 15 games, the Panthers played 12 games decided by 10 points or less, including seven games decided by three points or less. Pitt’s first four conference games were all decided in the last possession, including the team’s lone conference win over Boston College by a score of 69-67 that came last Saturday.
