Sven Baertschi is not going anywhere. The Canucks signed Baertschi to a three-year, $10 million extension to keep the 25-year-old in Vancouver, the team announced Sunday. “We're very pleased to sign Sven to an extension," general manager Jim Benning said in a statement. "He's a talented offensive player. We look forward to seeing Sven further develop his complete game and become a consistent contributor to our success." While injuries limited Baertschi last season, he still registered 29 points for the Canucks with 14 goals and 15 assists in 53 games. This is the latest move in a busy day for Benning and company. The Canucks also agreed to terms with center Jay Beagle and winger Antoine Roussel.
