Pascal Siakam's extension doesn't help Celtics' talks with Jaylen Brown


Pascal Siakam absolutely had a better 2018-19 than Jaylen Brown did. The Raptors forward shot for a higher percentage (from two and three), averaged more points, rebounds and assists. Not only did Siakam's team have far more success — and much less drama surrounding it — the 27th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft also played a big part in Toronto's postseason run, which, of course, resulted in a title. Additionally, this helped Siakam get a four-year, $130 million max deal from the Raptors, which they reportedly agreed upon on Saturday. Meanwhile, Brown — who averaged more points and was better from three as a sophomore — has turned down at least one offer from the C's, reportedly worth $50 million
