UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State offensive linemen Ryan Bates and Connor McGovern got a first-hand glimpse of what it would be like to play for Giants offensive line coach Hal Hunter. Hunter was among the contingent from 30 NFL teams at Penn State's NFL Draft Pro Day on Tuesday, and put the pair of Nittany Lions through a workout. Bates, 6-foot-4 and 305 pounds is an athletic offensive tackle who has experience playing on both sides. As a junior last season, Bates made nine starts at left tackle and three more on the right side en route to garnering third-team All Big-Ten recognition.
