The moment I confirmed that the Minnesota Twins were a championship caliber team, was when they played the Boston Red Sox on June 18th, 2019 at Target Field. It took 17 innings, 5 hours and 45 minutes, it was the longest game in Target Field history, there was great pitching on both sides, and the Twins prevailed. Boston looks all of the part too, but it felt different last night. In my mind, the Twins were protecting their streak of being the last team in baseball this year to not lose three games in a row. Buxton was out with injury for 10 days, so the Twins were down at least one starter too. It took the full roster on the Twins, using all the pitchers in the bullpen to prevail. Everyone contributed
