With the sudden retirement of Andrew Luck after a long history of severe injuries, it is worth noting that the Washington Redskins, in selecting Robert Griffin, III, were not the only team be "bitten" in the 2012 draft. In retrospect, the Carolina Panthers and especially the Philadelphia Eagles come up looking brilliant. In reviewing the top picks in that draft: 1) Andrew Luck - brilliantly good at times but often injured and now retired. Generally, the top several picks go to terrible teams, but that isn't what happened to luck. The Colts had been a playoff team with Peyton Manning.
