NSW halfback Nathan Cleary admits he thought he had lost his State of Origin jersey as he struggled for form during the Panthers' disastrous start to the season. Blues coach Brad Fittler chose to stick with the embattled playmaker despite Souths star Adam Reynolds being cleared of serious injury on the weekend. Speaking on Monday after being named in the 17-man Blues squad for Game 1, Cleary was candid when discussing the challenges he has faced in 2019. “Yeah, if I'm being honest, definitely,” Cleary said when asked if he thought his Origin chances had been blown. “I wasn't playing the way I wanted to and the way things were going at Penrith it was kind of taking a toll on me and it was frustrating.
