Cameron Reynolds was a middle distance runner in middle school, before he arrived at Clayton Valley-Concord and turned into one of the top sprinters in California. Around 12 or 13, he had a growth spurt and his 400-meter time came down significantly. “I went from a 1:03 to about a 56 in a week,” Reynolds said. “I don't remember being good at track until that growth spurt.” He's pretty good now. Reynolds will conclude his high school career at the state meet at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis. He will run the 200 and 400 as well as a leg on both of the Eagles relay teams. Trials are Friday and the finals Saturday. After that, it's on to UCLA for Reynolds. Last year, he took second in the 400
