Florence's Ian Ostberg homered, finishing with two hits and two RBIs, as the Quinnipiac baseball team downed Fairfield 6-5 in 13 innings Saturday in the MAAC Championship game. Ostberg's two-run homer in the fifth put Quinnipiac up 5-4, but the Stags tied the game in the sixth. The Bobcats' Evan Vulgamor scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the 13th on a wild pitch. By winning the conference title, Quinnipiac earned an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament. The Bobcats' regional destination will be revealed in the selection show, which starts at noon Monday on ESPNU. Quinnipiac (29-27) went 3-0 to win the tournament as the No. 2 seed. The Bobcats beat No. 5 Manhattan 11-6 on Saturday.
