Jason Garrett has already spoken with Daniel Jones and is more than excited to get to work with him. There is almost always a link between an offensive coordinator and his starting quarterback, and soon enough, the bond that was initiated by that first phone call will grow into something the Giants hope will benefit the player and the team. Jones received a solid foundation as an NFL novice in 2019, as former coach Pat Shurmur is known to work well with young quarterbacks and navigated Jones through what was a successful rookie year, in terms of his own development. New Giants coach Joe Judge will direct and guide all areas of the team and not concentrate on offense, defense or his specialty, special teams — delegating to his coordinators in all three phases.
