How ex-Tigers pitchers Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer and Anibal Sanchez have performed since leaving Motown. They're all in the 2019 World Series. This is so unbelievably cruel. Max Scherzer will start Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday night for the Washington Nationals and Justin Verlander is expected to start Game 2 for the Houston Astros, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale. And don't forget, Anibal Sanchez will be on the mound at some point for the Nationals. How freakin' cruel.
