Initially touted as the “New NHL” version of Ryan Getzlaf, Dach is a right-shooting center with size and pure play-making skill that can finish when he so chooses. Projected to go anywhere from fourth overall to eighth, Dach has the kind of overall game that suggests he will not be around by the time the Ducks select at ninth - but if either of the clubs that select from third to eighth are unsure of the overall consistency displayed by him this year, there is a chance he might fall. By the numbers the Albertan native finished his second full year in the WHL with 73 points in 62 games, eight points in 10 games in the postseason but most impressively; seven points in five games for Canada at the Ivan Klinka Gretzky tournament. Dach is the total package - size, skill, play-making ability, scoring touch and a defensive side to his game befitting of a number one center.
