ANAHEIM — Luis Rengifo said he was caught off guard by the news that he had been called up to the major leagues. Placing Zack Cozart on the 10-day injured list wasn't something the Angels were anticipating either. Rengifo, a 22-year-old infielder, batted ninth and played second base Thursday in his Angels debut. He took Cozart's place on the active roster after the veteran infielder regressed in his recovery from a neck injury. Cozart jammed his neck when he collided head-first with the knee of Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu diving back to the bag on Monday. He pinch-hit Tuesday but was unavailable Wednesday.
