Rick Gosselin has been covering the NFL for nearly five decades, and during that time he has devised a methodology for ranking special team units in 22 different categories. The Chicago Bears have been near the bottom of his rankings the last several years, but this season saw a brief uptick from 26th overall (442.5 overall points) in 2018, to 23rd this year (396.5). His top '19 unit was the New Orleans Saints' with 256 points (the lower the better), and the worst was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 491.5.
