A couple of more candidates for the Giants' managing job emerged Thursday, and it seems clear president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi isn't focused on hiring an established big-league manager. While the Angels hired Joe Maddon and other seasoned managers, including Dusty Baker, Buck Showalter and Joe Girardi, are being interviewed elsewhere, candidates attached to the Giants are younger and less experienced, most having not managed in the big leagues. Rays bench coach Matt Quatraro was interviewed Thursday, according to Tampa Bay Times' Marc Topkin. Quatraro, 45, is the right-hand man to Rays manager Kevin Cash, who heavily relies on analytics and non-traditional data when running a game.
