Scott Springer with Former Red Sean Casey Adam Rosales signed a minor-league deal with the Philadelphia Phillies with a Spring Training invitation, according to multiple reports, that will pay him $1.75 million if he makes the big-league club. The 34-year-old Rosales was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 12th round of the 2005 draft. He hit .212 with four homers and 21 RBIs in parts of two seasons in 2008 and 2009 before the Reds traded him Feb. 1, 2010 (eight years ago today) with Willy Taveras to the Oakland Athletics for Aaron Miles and a player to be named.
