Tuesday began the draft process for the return of the XFL. The draft is a who's who of who used to be in the NFL, or who is currently falling short of reaching an NFL roster. A group of former Carolina Panthers players are now members of the new/returning league and among the highlights is former running back Cameron Artis-Payne. Here's a review. Artis-Payne was a fifth-round pick (No. 174 overall) of the Panthers in 2015 and spent four seasons in Carolina. He played in 32 games as a reserve running back, rushing 118 times for 491 yards and five touchdowns. Artis-Payne was thought to be the direct backup to Christian McCaffrey in 2019, but was among the final cuts, in favor of Reggie Bonnafon
