Winnipeg Jets forward Bryan Little downplayed comments his teammate Patrik Laine reportedly made in recent days about dissatisfaction with his linemates last season. According to Finnish sportswriter Pekka Jalonen, the 21-year-old restricted free agent told him that he was unsatisfied with his linemates in 2018-19 and felt he "would have the chance to play with the best players" somewhere outside of Winnipeg. Laine, who is caught in a contract dispute with the Jets, played more minutes with Little than any other teammate at even-strength last season — so all eyes turned to the veteran as a potential source of Laine's grievances. Little told reporters Thursday that he and Laine spoke on the phone "two or three days ago" when the young forward texted him and asked to talk.
