BALTIMORE — It was a big step for Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius and a new step for infielder Troy Tulowitzki. Gregorius played five innings of defense and had five at-bats in an extended spring training game Monday against Tigers minor-leaguers — his first live action all season. He went 2-for-4 with a walk at the team's training complex in Tampa, Fla. Gregorius has been recovering from Tommy John surgery he had in October. Meanwhile, Tulowitzki, dealing with a left calf strain, took grounders at shortstop and at third base. He's never played a position other than shortstop professionally.
