There's something 'special' about Danny Santana, whose sudden impact with Rangers isn't a surprise to everybody

ARLINGTON -- News of Danny Santana's sudden impact with the Rangers did not surprise Gene Glynn, his mentor with Minnesota. "It's in there,'' said Glynn, who was Santana's manager at Triple-A and joined in him the majors as the Twins third base coach from 2015-18. "I think everybody expected him to be back. He can impact a game in so many ways: speed, defense, arm, hitting. He has an up-tempo game." The Rangers recognize that, too. This is Santana's first week with the club, and manager Chris Woodward has already said "there's something about him that is special.'' Santana is a project for the Rangers. They are trying to fix a player to get him back to what he once was. Follow Santana's career
