Swim Team has High Hopes for Inaugural Season

In wake of their inaugural season, the SMSU swim and dive team are ready to make a statement in the NSIC conference. Coach Marty Wahle, swimmers senior Kristen Johnston and junior Gabriella Reis are excited for the upcoming season. “It's just another place for student athletes to come to if they want to join the swimming and diving team,” Wahle, talking about the importance of this team, said. “It will help bring more student athletes to SMSU as well.” “We're really excited because it's the first year, and we really want to make history,” Reis said. Looking forward, Johnston has hope for seasons to come. “Keep growing the team for next year,” Johnston said. There are seven freshmen and two upperclassmen
