South Florida lands in season-opening AP Poll

The University of South Florida women’s basketball team, entering its 50th Anniversary, will begin the season as one of the nation’s top-ranked teams in the Associated Press Preseason Top 25 poll, which was announced on Tuesday. The Bulls, who finished the 2020-21 season No. 19 in the final AP poll, will face – or have the possibility of facing – seven teams that join them in the preseason poll, or that are receiving votes, including the top three teams, and four of the top 10. The Bulls and Huskies could face each other on day two of the B4A on Nov. 21.
