The Orlando Magic have a simple reason for trading the No. 46 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft to the Los Angeles Lakers: they don't want any more young players. Orlando sent the 46th overall pick to the Lakers on Thursday night in exchange for cash and a future pick. The Purple and Gold then used it to select Iowa State forward Talen Horton-Tucker. According to Magic president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman, they traded the selection because they don't want another young player to their roster that is already loaded with youth. The Magic drafted Chuma Okeke with the 16th overall pick in the draft. The 20-year-old forward is the latest addition to a squad composed mostly of players under 25.
