It was a little over three weeks ago, on Oct. 24, when the Blue Jackets beat the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 in overtime at Nationwide Arena. If you were among the 15,400 people in the building, and you had a thought about Artemi Panarin or Sergei Bobrovsky — the thought was fleeting. Cam Atkinson scored the game-winner to cap off what was a sterling, all-around performance. Two nights later, the Jackets traveled to Philadelphia and lost to the Flyers 7-4. The Jackets were brutal. The loss marked the beginning of a 1-5-2 streak that dropped them to next-to-last place in the Metropolitan Division.
