Jordan McLaughlin made a strong impression during Summer League play. The Wolves' floor general in Las Vegas, McLaughlin averaged 10 points, five assists and 1.4 steals per game while leading Minnesota to a 6-1 mark. The Timberwolves chose to reward that production. Minnesota signed the 23-year-old point guard to a two-way deal, the team announced Saturday. That means McLaughlin can spend up to 45 games with the NBA squad next season, while spending the rest of the season with the Iowa Wolves of the NBA G League. The 6-foot-1 guard spend last season with the Long Island Nets — Brooklyn's G League squad — averaging 15 points and 4.6 assists per game. Each team gets two two-way slots. Minnesota
