Dear crestfallen New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns and Chicago Bulls fans: this is for you.

Just when it seems like the drumbeat for potential 2018 No. 1 draft pick Luka Doncic can’t grow any louder, the Slovenian playmaker does something preposterous to remind you that limitations are merely constructs of the human mind. On Tuesday, the precocious Real Madrid guard was ridoncic-ulous in his team’s 100-90 EuroLeague win over Olimpia Milano. He scored 27 points, converted 11 of 12 attempts from the line, grabbed eight boards, dished five assists, recorded two steals and committed one foul in only 29 minutes of action.

Doncic isn’t just beating up on talent from inferior leagues. He’s inflicting efficient damage on EuroLeague defenses at the highest level of European basketball.

The 6-foot-8 Doncic’s scoring outbursts and stepback 3-pointers aren’t what define him. In addition to possessing a paralyzing crossover dribble, he delivers sublime passes like this.

Those awesome displays of his versatility aren’t an anomaly, either. Through six games this season, Doncic, 18, has elevated every facet of his game, averaging 22.6 points, 9.2 rebounds and 7.2 assists per 40 minutes. The Slovenian phenom is already one of the most accomplished guards in Europe, yet with each passing game, his mystique grows.
