Luka praises 'very underrated' Looney after Warriors' Game 3 win originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

Kevon Looney is your favorite player's favorite player.

After the Warriors' 109-100 win over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals at America Airlines Center, Mavericks superstar Luka Dončić had plenty of praise for the Warriors center, who he believes is "very underrated."

"I think, like I say, the rebounding," Dončić said when asked what he would like to see Dallas improve on. "We've got to be way better. We've got to be more physical. It's really tough with Looney; he's an unbelievable player. He's very underrated. Nobody talks about him. But I think he's been doing an amazing job, and it's tough with him. He's a strong dude, and he helps them a lot. He's a great role player, and we've got to do a better job boxing him out."

On Sunday night, Looney scored nine points while collecting 12 rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes on the floor. In Game 2, the 26-year-old set a new career-high with 21 points and 12 rebounds against Dončić and Mavs.

Looney also set a career-high by collecting 22 rebounds in Game 6 against the Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference semifinals.

Looney became the Warriors' "Iron Man" after playing in all 82 games during the regular season and has since taken his game to a different level. The league's biggest stars are taking notice, and Looney has quickly become a household name.
