LSU women’s basketball drops one spot in latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll

The LSU Tigers ended a two-game losing streak on Sunday as coach Kim Mulkey’s team easily dispatched the Florida Gators with a 106-66 win. While that victory may have been impressive, it wasn’t enough to save the Tigers from a drop in the polls this week.

They fell to No. 13 in the AP Top 25 on Monday, and while the drop wasn’t as precipitous in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, the Tigers are still falling.

They dropped one spot this week to No. 12. Unlike in the AP Top 25, they had already fallen out of the top 10 in the coaches poll prior to this week.

There was a lot of movement in general this week. The only spot that didn’t see movement in the top 15 was the No. 1 spot, which is locked down by undefeated South Carolina.
