LSU offers 2026 safety from Gulf Shores, Alabama

Brian Kelly ventured to the Alabama coast to find a talented safety who could make a difference in Baton Rouge in a couple of years. He will have to fight Hugh Freeze for him, though.

JaMichael Garrett is a six-foot-two, 200-pound safety from Gulf Shores, Alabama where he plays for Gulf Shores High School. The Gulf Shores Dolphins finished the 2023 season 15-0 and they won the 5A State Championship.

There are currently no Crystal Ball projections for Garrett at this time but the Auburn Tigers are a 63% favorite to land him per On3.

Film Analysis: Garrett is projected to be a defensive back at the next level but he works as a linebacker for the Dolphins.
