Loyola-Chicago appeared in its first NCAA tournament game since 1985 on Thursday and there was little doubt that Ramblers fans would show up in force.

Loyola loyalists made a ruckus as their team took the floor in Dallas before their thrilling last-second win over Miami (Fla.). But they’d have been noticeable even had they stayed silent.

That’s because it wasn’t hard to pick any of them out. The crowd favors maroon-and-gold scarves, which caused a lot of people to make jokes about a certain fictional character and his friends:

Brace yourself, Harry Potter jokes are coming:

Even Sister Jean, Loyola’s team chaplain and resident celebrated fan, sported one of the scarves:

The maroon-and-gold scarves in Harry Potter lore signifies Gryffindor, a house in Hogwarts that claimed Harry, Hermione and Ron as members.

We’re not quite sure where Hogwarts would be seeded if it ever made the NCAA tournament — would their magical abilities be able to overcome a severe lack of quadrant one wins? — but we’re thankful Loyola gave us the opportunity to think about it.

Also, if Loyola were to somehow make the final and face Grayson Allen and Duke, we will be here for ALL the Slytherin jokes.
