Louisiana Monroe players Alabama fans must know before Week 3 matchup

Alabama and Louisiana Monroe are set to face off in a Week 3 matchup where the Crimson Tide are the heavy favorites. Last week, the Crimson Tide strolled into Austin, Texas, to face the Longhorns and it almost flipped the season upside down for Bryce Young and the Tide.

Now, with a full week of preparation under their belt to correct the issues, it’s time for the Warhawks to try their hand at defeating Alabama.

Ahead of Saturday’s home contest against Louisiana Monroe, Crimson Tide fans should get to know a few of the potential impact players on the Warhawks’ roster.

Chandler Rogers, QB

Last week against Nicholls State, Rogers completed 20 of his 25 passing attempts for over 250 yards and two touchdowns, he also led the team in rushing yards and scored a touchdown on the ground by himself. Though he struggled against Texas, Rogers is clearly a player who is willing to take advantage of an opportunity on the field. Alabama’s secondary should be mindful of his arm and decisiveness.

Tristan Driggers, LB

His stats from last week may not be the most exciting, but he led the team in a bunch of categories. He had eight tackles, one tackle for loss and an interception in the Warhawks’ win.

A punter as a potential impact player? Yes. Five punts for a total of 220 yards at an average of 44 per punt. He also got three of those five to land inside the 20-yard line. McCormick could pin Alabama in some bad positions to begin their drives.
