The Knicks, in the throes of a three-game losing streak and dealing with multiple injuries, look like they're getting a big boost on Wednesday night against the Nets.
Obi Toppin, who has been out due to a strained right calf since playing Opening Night on Dec. 23, is available to play against the Nets, the team announced before tipoff.
Toppin, who showed flashes during the preseason and scored nine points against the Indiana Pacers on Opening Night, should inject some energy into a sagging offense that has been among the worst in the NBA this season.
In addition to the likely return of Toppin, the Knicks will have newly-signed Taj Gibson available.
Reggie Bullock (sore right hip) is officially out.
Alec Burks (sprained left ankle) and Frank Ntilikina (sprained right knee) remain out.
