A look at Tennessee’s previous Music City Bowl appearances

Tennessee (7-5, 4-4 SEC) is slated to play Purdue (8-4, 6-3 Big Ten) in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl on Dec. 30 in Nashville, Tennessee (

Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. EST and ESPN will televise the matchup.

The contest will mark Tennessee’s third time playing in the Music City Bowl. Tennessee is 1-1 in Music City Bowl games.

Tennessee first played in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 30, 2010, losing to North Carolina, 30-27, in double overtime.

The Vols defeated Nebraska, 38-24, on Dec. 29, 2017.

Purdue played in the 2018 Music City Bowl, losing to Auburn, 63-14.
