In what has been a difficult game for the new in Patriots, a running back is hurt, complicating their day. Rex Burkhead exited the game in the third quarter with a knee injury.

Prior to his injury, he was getting into a rhythm for the Patriots rushing attack. He had four carries for a total of seven yards on the day.

With New England possessing a fair amount of running back depth and Damien Harris and James White, the loss of Burkhead can be offset. Nevertheless, he is an important part of the Patriots backfield, and the other backs are certainly going to have to step up.

In what has been a while game for the Patriots to this point, they have certainly experienced ups-and-downs. This would certainly be the latter.
