With commitments in the past 24 hours from Connor Parks, Cory Trice and Will Bramel, Purdue's hit a dozen on its 2018 commitment list, a list that was bare a little more than two weeks ago.

It's been an early recruiting surge unlike anything seen around West Lafayette and one that's gotten Purdue's class off on what seems like solid ground, to the point where it could conceivably want to slow things down some for fear of taking on too much too fast.

A few thoughts on Purdue and its 12-man class to this point and what may lie ahead …

Now what?

Some positions/elements of need that would seem to move to the front now would be interior defensive linemen, wide receivers and running back(s) and likely at least one or two more linebackers considering Purdue's forthcoming turnover at that position.
